Rodney Lane

Rodney Lane has worked in the roadway construction industry for more than three decades.

Rod started out working summers as a laborer on a utility line crew, as a crew leader at a ladder factory, as a wheelman on a paving crew, and as a laborer on a vertical construction site. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Survey Engineering from the University of Maine in 1991, he was hired as an instrument man and crew chief on the Pennsylvania Southern Expressway Project in Pittsburgh. Rod relocated to Maine, where he became involved in the asphalt plant and quarry operations throughout the state. Rod was responsible for all survey layout, permitting, cost control, and estimating. Rod then served as a Superintendent on numerous Maine DOT projects across several locations, primarily Belfast, Washington, Calais, and Bangor ME. Additionally, Rod led IRAP projects in Winterport and Stockton Springs, as well as several Aggregate acquisitions across Maine. Since 2002, he has held management positions of increasing levels of responsibility and has expanded his area of business to include the entire Northeast region. In 2016, Rodney was promoted to Senior Vice President of what was then Lane Construction’s Plants & Paving operations from Maine to Texas. He became Senior Vice President of Eurovia Atlantic Coast, following the 2018 acquisition by Eurovia USA. An active member of numerous industry organizations, Rodney has served as President of the Maine Better Transportation Association, the Maine Asphalt Producers Association, and served AGC of Maine on boards and committees, and is currently a board member of the National Asphalt Pavement Association.
