In the spring of 2012, Senate Asphalt milled and repaved then Vice President Joe Biden’s driveway at his residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory. The work was scheduled for when Vice President Biden was out of town for a stretch of days in early April. Completion of the project required Senate Asphalt teams to be flexible and adjust to the Vice President’s schedule. Arranging employee and equipment access to the site was time-consuming and the Secret Service performed thorough background checks of our detailed employee roster prior to us mobilizing.
